I have a quick and easy project for you today!




This May Flower Bracelet is quick and easy to make, so it’s a perfect last-minute Mother’s Day gift!


MATERIALS:
■ Embroidery thread in the color of your choice. You will need color A, B, C, D, and E
(This sample was made with DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss #25)
■ 2 mm crochet hook (US: B/1, UK: 14, JP: 2/0)
■ 3 mm crochet hook (US: D/3, UK: 11, JP: 5/0)
■ Adjustable ring base (optional)
■ Yarn needle
■ Yarn glue


SKILL LEVEL: Easy

ABBREVIATIONS:
5-dc-bobble = five double crochet bobble
BLO = back loop(s) only
ch(s) = chain(s)
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
rep = repeat
rnd(s) = round(s)
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
( ) = work a set of instruction within parentheses together into a next stitch
[ ] = work a set of instruction within brackets as many times as directed

SPECIAL STITCHES:
5-dc-bobble (five-double-crochet-bobble)
(Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops in hook) repeat 5 times. Yarn over and draw through all 6 loops on hook.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Note: Use size 2 mm hook

🌸FLOWER🌸

Rnd 1: Starting with color A, work 12 hdc in a magic ring [12]


Rnd 2: BLO, [hdc, 2 hdc] rep 6 times [18]

Fasten off

🌸Inner Petals🌸
With color B, attach floss into any remaining half loop of rnd 1,



[ch 3, 2 dc in next st, ch3, sl st in next st], rep 6 times (the last sl st will make in the first st)





🌸Outer Petals🌸
With color C, attach floss into any hdc of rnd 2,[ch 3, 2 dc in next 2 sts, ch3, sl st in next st], rep 6 times (the last sl st will make in the first st)




Fasten off, weave in end securely and cut the excess thread.

🌸Bracelet🌸
Note: Use size 3 mm hook

Bracelet is crocheted with double-stranded crochet with color D and E. Double-stranded crochet is holding two yarn strands together as you crochet.
Work ch 3 and 5-bobble-st in 3rd ch from hook, and sl st in the same st. You will have a bobble-ball for the clasp.



Continue working ch until your string is 6 in” (15cm) long or your desired length, then ch 7 and sl st into 7th ch from hook to make a loop for the clasp.


Fasten off, tie the floss end and secure with a little bit of yarn glue.

Then, glue the flower on to the bracelet!






Also, you can glue a ring base back of the flower to make a ring







Or make a lot of flowers in different colors and decorate cards and gift boxes with them!
